Thai Food Shrimp Recipe: กุ้งผัดยอดมะพร้าว Goong Pad Yod Maprao
(Shrimp and Coconut Tree Top Stir-Fry)

กุ้งผัดยอดมะพร้าว
Goong Pad Yod Maprao
(Shrimp and Coconut Tree Top Stir-Fry)
Prepare:
1 cup coconut tree top (cut it as in the picture)
1/2 cup shrimp (peeled, de-veined and cooked)
2 tbsp. cut Chinese celery
1/2 cup carrot
2 tbsp. oyster sauce
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 cup water

Cooking Instructions:
1. Heat the pan and fry the garlic in hot olive oil until it smells nice.
2. Add cut coconut tree top and then put soy sauce. Cook for 10 minutes.
3. Pour some small amount of water if the pan gets too dry.
4. After 10 minutes cooking, add shrimp, carrot, Chinese celery and oyster sauce. Now, mix well then turn off the fire.
You can find this food in Thai restaurants. The coconut tree top taste just a little bit sweet and it is not really different from bamboo. I hope you like it.

(Stir-Fried Shrimp with Fresh Lemon Juice)

กุ้งผัดน้ำมะนาว
Goong Pad Nam Manao
Stir Fried Shrimp with Fresh Lemon Juice
Prepare:
2 cups shrimp (peeled, de-veined and)
1 onion (sliced) ß optional
1 group Chinese celery (cut 1 inch)
1 tbsp. minced garlic
7 cloves garlic (sliced)
4 red and green peppers (crushed lightly)
5 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
2 tbsp. fish sauce
1 tbsp. olive oil
½ cup water
Cooking Instructions:
- Heat the pan and put olive oil. Fry minced garlic until it smells nice.
- Add onion, and shrimp 2 tbsp. of water. Cook the shrimp for 3 minutes. After that, put Chinese celery, peppers and sliced garlic. Turn off the fire.
- Add. Fish sauce and fresh lemon juice. Mix it together.
- Put on the dish and dress with some fresh Chinese celery.
Sorry for the not so good photo. This tastes really good as you probably could guess. I know you have lemon fried shrimp in the west too!

(Stir Fried Shrimp with Scallion Flower)

กุ้งผัดดอกหอม
(Stir Fried Shrimp with Scallion Flower)
Prepare:
1 cup shrimp (peeled, de-veined)
2 cups cut scallion flower (cut 5cm. long)
3 cloves minced garlic
1/2 cup whole shitake mushroom
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 tbsp. fish sauce
1 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tbsp. oyster sauce
1/2 cup water
Cooking Instruction:
1. Cook shrimp and shitake mushroom in boiling water. Drain and save it in a bowl.
2. Heat the pan and fry minced garlic with olive oil until it turn a little bit yellow.
2. Add scallion flower, fish sauce, and soy sauce. Stir fry for about 3 minutes. Gradually add water when the pan gets too dry.
4. Put cooked shrimp and shitake mushroom. Now, add oyster sauce and then mix it together. Turn off the fire.

Squid and Salted Eggs Stir-Fried in Thai, Pla Muk Pad Kai Kem

ปลาหมึกผัดไข่เค็ม
Prepare:
2 cups chopped squids
3 cooked salted eggs
1 cup cut Chinese celery
1 cup cut scallion
1/2 big onion
3 sliced sweet peppers (red or green)
3 cloves minced garlic
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 tbsp. fish sauce
1 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tbsp. oyster sauce
1/2 cup water

Cooking Instruction:
1. Cut the cooked salted eggs. Throw away the white part.
2. Fry the garlic in a hot pan with olive oil until it smells nice.
3. After that, add squids and cook for 4 minutes. Then, put onion, Chinese celery, scallion and pepper. Add water a little bit if need.
4. Put fish sauce, soy sauce oyster sauce and salted eggs. Mix it altogether. Turn off the fire.
5. Serve with rice.
